What will the dinner be?
The menu changes every year, but it is always something traditional to the Hungarian cuisine. This year we will have different appetizers made by our wonderful volunteers followed by the main course, stuffed cabbage. For dessert we are planning to have ‘képviselőfánk’ – a pastry with vanilla cream filling.
*The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the menu in case some ingredients can not be found or volunteers for some reason can not deliver.
Performers of the 2022 festival
We usually invite different artists each year. These performers are either flying in from Hungary or they are well known Hungarian performers based in the U.S.
This year we will have Noémi Sárog, Hungarian-American actress and singer from Hollywood, take us back to the historical Budapest where we will get a glimpse into the life of pop/rock artists then listen to songs from contemporary Hungarian bands while sipping some great Hungarian wine. Join us for this amazing show featuring songs from well known Hungarian bands like Neoton, Bon-Bon, Hooligans, and more. Listen to Noémi sing here.
Children of the Napocska Hungarian School are also performing at this event on a yearly basis.
I am not Hungarian/ I don’t speak Hungarian. Will I enjoy it?
Definitely! We all speak English, and music/dance is something universal. We are absolutely sure that you will enjoy the concert, the grape pressing demonstration, as well as the performance of the Napocska school. If you are not a Hungarian, more so! It will be a new experience! Come and learn more about our cuisine, harvest traditions, folk dances, as well as listen to some amazing Hungarian music.
